The Pure Cool Link comes with its own Dyson Link app, and it has a very nice and polished interface showing you the current temperature, humidity, and air quality settings detected by your fan:
Configuring the fan to turn on when someone arrive back home in a "I'm Back!" routine, and turning it off when the last person leaves the house in a "Goodbye!" routine.
Or turning the fan on at night at 11pm in a "Good Night!" routine, and turning it off in the morning at 7am in a "Good Morning!" routine.
The screenshot below shows how you would configure all of that in the SmartThings app:
So far it's been working great as an air purifier. The air feels cleaner in the room, and we all wake up with less sinus and blockage. I'm hopeful that better sleep for everyone would make this purchase well worth the expensive price tag.
As a fan, I'd be a little more on the fence. The fan does get noisy at high speeds, so it would be difficult to sleep with. And for someone used to powerful traditional blade fans, the Dyson does feel much weaker.
The inherent smart functionalities are a nice frill, but ultimately unnecessary. And any infra-red Dyson would fit right in with the Logitech Harmony / SmartThings setup.
At the end of the day, remember to do your research on all the pros and cons before deciding if this purchase is really what you are looking for!
